• Karen has worked in the private and public sector in Human Resources Management and Development.
• She has developed several HR and other policy and procedure manuals as well as training programs for general and health-specific interventions.
• Karen has worked on contract in the Eastern Cape Department of Health in South Africa as Chief Director: Corporate Services which included the management of the provincial human resources budget, labour relations, nurse training colleges, training and development, transport and registry management.
• She has worked as an HR consultant in several African countries such as South Africa, Botswana, Malawi, Nigeria and Zambia.
• Specialist areas are Organizational Development, Human Resources Management, Management Development training and Labour Relations Management.
• She has also lectured part-time in Organizational Behaviour, Leadership, Management, Communication, Labour Relations and Human Resources management in South Africa and Malawi.
