Mr. Daniel Grodos, M.Ph., M.D., M.Sc. Epidemiology, Public Health Expert (º1950)
- His main fields of expertise are Public Health; Organisation and management of health services; Development policy; Epidemiological and health systems research.
- Daniel Grodos taught public health at the Public Health School of Louvain (Belgium) - including health planning in developing countries, health and development, humanitarian assistance and development - and at the Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM) in Antwerp.
- His Africa experience covers mainly Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Congo (RDC), Mali and Rwanda. Other experiences cover South America (Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru).
- From 2000 to 2004, Daniel Grodos took up a long-term assignment as health adviser in Niger. He managed a regional development project focused on health district development in the Dosso region; and has been instrumental in developing the concept of programme approach of the Belgian development cooperation in health (as opposed to the classic project approach).
- While being visiting professor at the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium), he is presently co-director of the project "Sistema integrado de salud en la Provincia Chayanta (Norte Potosi)" in Bolivia (Belgian Technical Cooperation).
