Public health consultant. Strong involvement in Sector Wide approaches, reproductive health and HIV/AIDS, and human resources for health.

Gretchen Roedde's recent short-term consultancy assignments include team leader of the external health sector review in Tanzania and in the Mid Term Review of the National Strategic Framework for HIV/AIDS in Botswana, as well as health service delivery consultant for the external review of the health sector in Papua New Guinea.

Previously, Gretchen Roedde has worked in over 20 countries in Africa and Asia: analyses of health sectors especially health service delivery, assessments of human resources for health, development of maternal and adolescent reproductive health strategies, and development or evaluation of multi-sectoral AIDS programs usually but not limited to countries with Sector Wide approaches.

She combines clinical work in underserviced areas of Canada including aboriginal populations; with public health planning, implementation and evaluation in Africa and Asia.
